In this video,
you'll learn how to customize the no action so that you can create
a decline option in the approval request process. In your Twitter
approval request flow, locate the If no box, select Add an action, search for Update item and select the
SharePoint connector. Update item action. Enter the URL of the team's SharePoint site
again in the site address. Now select Contoso Tweets
again in the list name field. In the ID field, add ID from the
dynamic content list. This ID field is used to match the actual tweet request
in the SharePoint list. Select the Title field, and then in the dynamic content
list, search for Title. Now add Title from the When a new item
is created action in the dynamic content list. Select No in the
approval status field. Then select the
Approver comments field and add comments from the
dynamic content list. The only difference
is that you set the Approval status
field to no this time. Finally, on yes
side of the flow, select the Post a tweet action. Remove any existing entries
from the Tweet text field, add Tweet content from
the dynamic content list. This step will create
the actual tweet and then post it to Twitter
when it's approved. Finally, select Save. It is a good idea
to test the flow before sharing it with
others in the team. First, switch back to the SharePoint tab and navigate to the
Contoso Tweets list. Click on New. The New
item dialogue will open. Fill in a tweet title. Here I'm going to call
it Test of tweet flow. In the content box, type of brief sample message. Pick a date for the tweet using the date
picker on the right. De-select the Yes choice
under Approval status. Click on Save. Switch back to the
Power Automate window to view your
approval flow again. Click on Test, select Manually, and then click on Test. The person who you
specified as the approver should now receive an email asking them to
approve the tweet. If they select Approve, the tweet will be posted. Great job. You have just created your first approval
flow with both accept and decline
options for the approver. Power Automate also
helps you to manage your approvals through
the Approval Center. Select Approvals under actions
in the menu on the left. Here, you will be able to see any approvals you have
sent or received, as well as your
approval history. Now, click on the item you
just sent to see the details. Power Automate displays the
details of your request, which includes the requester, approver, and the outcome. You can approve or reject
requests directly in your email or you can come to the Approval Center
and do so directly. Test out the Approval
Center by sending off a few more requests and coming back to explore
its functionality. Now that you have built a flow, you can export the flow
from the Flow details page. When you export to a package, you can then send the
resulting zip file to a co-worker in the same tenant or to someone in another tenant. The wizard will then walk
them through importing the package and connecting it to their specific data sources.
